Residential Pet Minding
The Pet Minder will live in your house whilst you are away and look after your animals as if they were their own. They will not leave your house, other than for emergencies, shopping and animal walking, without your prior approval. They will follow your instructions with regard to feeding. Walking etc., will keep your house clean, water the plants and be responsible for general security. They will arrive in plenty of time before your departure to receive your instructions and wish you 'Bon Voyage' and will be there with a welcoming smile on your return.
The costs, for a Residential sit with up to 4 animals, are as follows:

Some Pet Minders are very happy to look after horses and even unusual pets. Charges for these will be by negotiation between yourself and the Pet Minder, but you are asked to let the Agency know when booking so that a suitable Pet Minder can be found. Should you need taking to/collecting from the airport/port/station please discuss this with the Agency as Petminders Ltd are often glad to help
On the arrival of the Pet Minder, he/she will go through a thorough check list with you to ensure that everything is covered. Please make sure that there is sufficient food for your pets, or let the Pet Minder know that more will need to be bought. At the conclusion of the sit, the Pet Minder will give you an invoice for the Daily Fee plus any additional costs for extra animals or animal food purchased
Fostering
Some people, particularly those with one, or two dogs, are not very keen on putting their pets into kennels whilst they are away, and would much prefer them to be looked after in a home environment, and this is where the Foster Pet Minder comes in. He/she will take your pet into their own home and look after it as if it were their own, giving it all the loving that you would in your home, with all the walks, treats and home comforts that you lavish on your pet.
The costs are as follows:

The Visiting Pet Minder
You want to go out for the day, just visiting friends or relatives and it is impossible to take your pet/s with you, or you just fancy that well earned shopping trip and lunch out in your favourite pub/restaurant - what you really want is for someone to call in, perhaps feed the pets, give the dogs a walk and give them all a bit of loving for a while! Well, this is where the Visiting Pet Minder comes in - he/she will do just that. This service is also ideal for clients who need to be away for a few days and only have cats.
The costs are as follows:

Plus a contribution towards transport costs of 0.40p per mile from the Pet Minders home to your house and back. This is subject to a daily maximum of 20 miles each way. Thereafter petrol is charged at cost by the Pet Minder.
Additional hours are charged by the Pet Minder at £12.00 per hour.
Notes:
- Some clients like to use our services on a regular basis, and often request the same Pet Minder which makes a lot of sense as this enables the Pet Minder to get to know the animals concerned. We like to encourage this sort of relationship and will always do our best to arrange for the same Pet Minder wherever possible.
- When a Booking is confirmed we automatically arrange for a back-up Pet Minder to be available. This is done as a guarantee to both yourself and the Pet Minder so that should any problems occur whilst you are away your animal will always be looked after as you would wish. This way you can go away with peace of mind.
- At all times we firmly believe that, whatever type of Pet Minder you need, it is very important that you meet your Pet Minder, and he/she meets your pets, before you go away, so that you can be happy that the Pet Minder you have booked is ideal for your needs, and the Pet Minder can be happy that he/she can give you the service, and the peace of mind, that you want. This pre-visit is all part of the service although we do ask that, if your Pet Minder has a reasonable distance to travel, you offer a contribution towards their travel expenses. If either you, or the prospective Pet Minder, are not happy, then we will suggest a different Pet Minder
- To save confusion as to what constitutes a day from a charging point of view, our policy is as follows:
- (a) If a sit commences before 12.00 noon, that day is considered to be a full day for charging purposes.
- (b) If a sit commences after 12.00 noon that day is not counted for charging purposes.
- (c) If a sit ends before 12.00 noon that day is not counted for charging purposes.
- (d) If a sit ends after 12.00 noon, that day is considered to be a full day for charging purposes.
- (e) Where a Residential sit is concerned traveling time for the Pet Minder to the client's house should be taken into account in considering the number of days of the sit.
